Officer Cum District Social Defence Officer, Class-II, in the H.o.D. of Social Security, Gujarat State

under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, during Date:15/06/2018 , 13.00 p.m. to

Note: -

(1) Selection to the posts of unreserved Category and posts reserved for woman candidates thereof

shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in selection process by the candidates of respective

categories and also woman candidates of that category and on the basis of qualifying standard

prescribed by the Commission keeping in view to maintain efficiency of respective cadre/service.

(2) The candidates belonging to reserved category can apply against vacancy for Unreserved Category but the criteria will be applicable as per Unreserved Category.

(3) Only the candidates having disability of OA, OL, BL, OAL, LV and HH MODERATE type can

apply for the post.

(1) Educational Qualification and Experience:

(i) Post Graduate degree in Social Work or Sociology or Psychology obtained from any of the

Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other

educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3

of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and

(ii) Have about three years experience on the post not below the rank of Probation Officer or

equivalent post, Class-III, in the subordinate service of the Directorate of Social Defence, Gujarat

state, or

(iii)  Have about three years experience in the field of social work or social administration in the

Government or Local bodies or Government Undertaking Board or Corporation or Limited

Company established under the Companies Act, 2013 or University or registered Non-Government

Organization on the post which can be considered as the post not below the rank of Probation Officer

or equivalent post, Class-III, in the subordinate service of the Directorate of Social Defence, Gujarat

state.

(2) The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services

Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967, and

(3) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

PAY: - Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay 4600 (As per 7th Pay Commission in Matrix Level-8

Salary Rs. 44900-142400)

AGE: - Not more than 40 years. Age will be calculated on the last date of the receipt of application.

(1) For the Woman Candidates Upper Age limit shall be relaxed to 05 Years Subject to maximum

45 years.

(2) Upper Age limit shall be relaxed to candidate who is already in Govt. of Gujarat service,

either as a permanent or a temporary officiating continuously for six months and had not

crossed age limit prescribed for the advertised post at the time of his first appointment. If

experience is prescribed as one of the qualifications, the upper age limit shall not apply.
